It only goes live on a supported car-listing detail page. Open a DoneDeal car ad under donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/… or an AutoTrader UK car-details page under autotrader.co.uk/car-details/…, and the button will activate. Search-results pages, home pages, and other sites won't audit.

Yes. The backend reads the listing page and then runs the AI audit; together that takes around 15–30s on a fresh listing. Identical re-audits within an hour return instantly from cache. The audit also keeps running if you close the popup — reopen it on the same listing to see the result.

The service enforces a per-IP daily audit limit and a global daily cap to keep costs bounded. If you hit either, try again after the 24-hour window rolls over. If you're hitting it often, get in touch and we'll look into raising it.

AutoTrader UK blocks server-side fetches, so the extension sends the visible page text it can already see in your tab. Make sure Send page text is on in the popup's Advanced panel (it's on by default), then audit again with the AutoTrader tab active.

It's guidance, not a verdict. The model is trained to flag common risks and model-year specifics from public information, but it can't see service history, see the car in person, or replace a mechanical inspection. Treat the audit as a list of things to ask the seller and a pre-inspection checklist — always verify in person and with a professional inspection before buying.

Locally in your browser only, via Chrome's extension storage (chrome.storage.local). It never leaves your device except as part of an audit request you initiate. See the privacy policy for the full data-handling details.

Open chrome://extensions, find DoneDeal Copilot, and remove it. That clears your profile, settings, and any cached audit results from your browser. There is no server-side user account or profile to delete.

Not yet. The extension is locked to the two listing-detail routes above to keep the audit accurate. If you'd like another site supported, email the request — popular requests will be prioritised.
